Exchange a Product

step-by-step
return procedure

 
Step 1. Create a new order for the desired product

CREATE NEW ORDER: Place the product you would like to exchange your existing product to in your shopping cart. Place order and pay in full.

SAVE ORDER NUMBER: When you create a new ticket in Step 2 you will want to share your new order number with our staff member.

YOUR ORDER WILL BE SHIPPED: We will ship your new order promptly. This saves the shipping delay of us receiving your old product and processing the refund to your PayPal or bank account.

IF YOU DON'T WANT TO PAY UP FRONT: Ship your returned product back to us. This whole process can take 3-5 days of shipping, 1-2 days of processing and an additional 3-5 business days to return your money to your bank account. This is why we recommend placing a new order prior to shipping your returned product back to us.

 
Step 2. Create a Return Ticket

 
Step 3. Follow staff RMA instructions

RETURN PRODUCT: If the staff member requests that you send the product back to VLEDS they will instruct you where and how to send the product back to us. Remember to write the RMA number they provide you on the outside of the package as shown below so that you can track updates with your return. Shipping to VLEDS is at the expense of the buyer. There are no exclusions to this policy. All international shipments are tested before leaving our facility.

GENERAL EXCHANGES

 
q: How long do I have to exchange my product?

You have 30 days from receiving your product to make an exchange or return.

 
q: Is there a restocking fee on an unopened product?

There is a 10% restocking fee for all like-new returns in the original packaging.

 
q: Is there a restocking fee for something that has been used or damaged during installation?

All exchanges or returns on items that are no longer in like-new condition (used or damaged) are subject to a 50% restocking fee.

 
q: If I bought something during a sale and return it do I get the sale price on the exchanged item?

You will NOT get the sale price on an exchanged item. The only exception to this policy is if within 7 business days of receiving the product you find that it does not fit your vehicle we will process an exchange and honor the sale price on the replacement item.

 

SHIPPING CHARGES

 
q: Will my refund include the original shipping charges?

Since the original shipping charges were paid to the shipping company (USPS, UPS, FedEx) they are not refundable.

 
q: Do I have to pay return shipping on an exchange?

The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs. There are no exclusions to this policy. Packages with insufficient postage will be refused.

 
q: What is the fastest way to exchange a product?

If you urgently need to exchange a product simply order the part(s) directly from our website. We will issue a refund less the 10% restock fee when we receive your product.

 
q: What if I don't want to pay for an exchange upfront?

Please see our return page for details on returning products.

 

REFUNDS

 
q: How long will the refund process take once VLEDS receives my item(s)?

Please allow 1-2 business days for us to process your refund once we receive it. Once it has been processed, please allow 3-5 business days for the refund to be applied to your credit card or PayPal account.

 
q: I received an email that my refund was processed - why isn't it in my account?

Once a refund has been processed, please allow 3-5 business days for the refund to be applied to your credit card or PayPal account. There is nothing we can do to speed up the refund applying to your account - the banks control this delay. There is no need to call to check on the status of the refund if you have received the confirmation email. If you do not receive the refund to your account after 5 business days please contact us as there may be an issue.
