V3 Triton Warranty Information

Limited Lifetime Warranty

The V3 Triton system has a limited lifetime warranty in its current production generation. If a generation is discontinued we will replace your system with the latest generation for up to 1 year. Any modifications to the system components or wiring will void all warranties.

Step by Step V3 Triton Warranty Return Instructions

Step 1 - Verify that the product is defective (if product is a kit verify which component is defective)

It is sometimes helpful to test the product outside of the vehicle. Wires from a standard 12V battery can be attached to most products to verify operation. If the product is part of a pair and one side is still functioning, switch the suspected defective product to the fully operational side. If the product is part of a kit like the V3 Triton System, switch components one at a time to the operational side to verify which component has failed.

Step 2 - Completely fill out the return form and select "Defective" in the "Reason for Return" section

This step is critical. All warranty claims must select "Defective" in order to be processed properly.

Optional Step 3 - If you would like us to ship out a replacement right away simply order the V3 Triton part(s) directly from our website

Place the new order number in the "New Order#" field on the return form. This ensures that we credit your account properly. We will issue a full refund of the purchase price plus the cost of shipping (First Class only) to your account upon our receipt of the defective product.

Step 4 - Package and ship the product back to us with the printed return form

Do not package the product in a standard envelope. Shipping to VLEDS is at the expense of the buyer but we will cover the shipping cost back to you.

How long is the warranty for V3 Tritons?

It has a limited lifetime warranty. We will warranty the V3 Triton system during its current production time. If the V3 Triton system is discontinued we will replace your old unit(s) with the current version for up to 1 year of the date it was discontinued. The product must be shipped back to us within the warranty period to qualify for a replacement. Defective items may be returned for a same-item exchange only.

Do I have to pay return shipping on my defective product?

Shipping to VLEDS is at the expense of the buyer but we will cover the shipping cost back to you. There are no exclusions to this policy. All international shipments are tested before leaving our facility.

How do I know which part of the system is defective?

There are three components in the V3 Triton system that can fail - the control box, the bulb, and the base adapter. To properly process your warranty claim we need to know which item is defective.

Switch components with the properly functioning side one at a time until you find the defective part. Start with the base adapter as it is the easiest to swap, then the control box, and lastly the bulb.

What happens if I have a defective Morimoto load resistor?

What if my product is NOT defective?

All non-defective returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. In the event a non-defective product is received we will issue your refund less 15% of the original purchase price. Please see our return and exchange pages for details on returning non-defective products.

What is the fastest way to get a replacement?

If you urgently need a replacement simply order the part directly from our website. DO NOT ORDER AN ENTIRE KIT - ONLY ORDER THE FAILED PART. Replacement parts for the V3 Triton system can be found here. We will issue a full refund of the purchase price plus the cost of shipping (First-Class only) to your account upon our receipt of the defective product.

What if I don't want to pay for a replacement upfront?

Send back the defective item(s) with your completed return form and we will send out the new replacements upon receipt. If the item(s) is no longer available we will issue a refund at the original purchase price.

Where do I ship my defective product? Do I need an RMA number?

You do NOT need an RMA number. If you do not have the original package, please send in a new padded mailer (postage is required) to:
