Step by Step LMZ Headlight Warranty Return Instructions

Step 1 - Take photo of back of headlight housing showing the product installed in vehicle.

Open the hood of your vehicle and take a picture of the product installed in the housing. Please note if the product is installed in a vehicle with a sealed headlight it will not be covered under warranty. LMZ headlights should not be installed in these applications per the installation instructions.

Step 2 - Verify that the product is defective (if product is a kit verify which component is defective).

It is sometimes helpful to test the product outside of the vehicle. Wires from a standard 12V battery can be attached to most products to verify operation. If the product is part of a pair and one side is still functioning, switch the suspected defective product to the fully operational side. If the product is part of a kit, switch components one at a time to the operational side to verify which component has failed.

Step 3 - Cut the wires and destroy the LED chips on the defective component and take a photo.

We ask that you send in an image using the "NEED HELP" tab on the left side of the screen with the wires on the part cut (or the molded connectors destroyed) and your installed photo from Step 1 (see below). A new part will be issued generally within 2-3 business days. In special cases, we won't require you to permanently disable the part before a replacement is sent (ie if a light bulb is mis-colored but still working).

IMPORTANT: Take one photo per defective product. Photo should similar to the photo shown below and must include the wires cut and LED's removed. Any LMZ products installed in sealed headlight housings will not be eligible for warranty replacement.

What is the fastest way to get a replacement?

If you urgently need a replacement simply order the part directly from our website. DO NOT ORDER AN ENTIRE KIT - ONLY ORDER THE FAILED PART. Replacement parts for the LMZ headlight systems can be found here. We will issue a full refund of the purchase price plus the cost of shipping (first class only) to your account upon our receipt of the defective product.

How long is the warranty for LMZ components?

LMZ headlight components have a 1 year warranty and in many cases do not require that the product be shipped back to us.

Please troubleshoot by switching components from side to side to isolate the problem. If your light has stopped working; the ballast, bulb, or wire harness may be faulty. Once you are 100% sure which component failed, you will not have to return it to us for a replacement.

How do I get a replacement bulb or control box?

We ask that you send in an image with the item destroyed (the wires cut and the LED's chips removed from the bulb) to sales@vleds.com (see above). A new part will be issued generally within 2-3 business days. In special cases, we won't require you to permanently disable the part before a replacement is sent (ie if a light bulb is mis-colored but still working).

What if my product is NOT defective?

All non-defective returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. In the event a non-defective product is received we will issue your refund less 15% of the original purchase price. Please see our return and exchange pages for details on returning non-defective products.

VLEDS cannot be held liable for any damage caused to your vehicle when installing the product.
